About the Client
The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County has a mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. They’re an incredibly important part of our community, providing a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and more.
The Problem
After many staff changes, the leadership team at the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County was left with a website they could barely get to function. Pages were missing, content was disorganized, and the website itself was in desperate need of a facelift. They could no longer easily make the edits they needed or even upload new pages.
Our Solution
We built them a brand new website utilizing WordPress, the world’s best content management system. It all started with a fundamental reorganization of their content hierarchy, creating a menu structure that was easy to navigate. We also condensed and rewrote some outdated pages of content to better give information that was needed.
On the aesthetic front, we built them something sleek and modern, honing in on their mission statement and brand colors. We completely revamped their donation system, created fillable forms to streamline their office backend, and made it easier to create/upload new events and blog updates for their viewers.
And… we did it all pro bono.
