Privacy Policy.

Our simple terms.

Effective date: 8/11/2026

Local Sight, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://www.localsight.net This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form on our website, call us, email us, or text us, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about the work you are asking about.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our analytics providers automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the website or search that referred you to us.

Cookies and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We may use similar analytics or advertising measurement tools from time to time for the same purpose. We do not use these tools to identify you personally.

Call tracking. We use a tracking phone number to understand how customers find our business. When you call, we may record the date, time, duration, and the phone number you called from. We do not record the content of calls.

The InSight mobile app

InSight is our mobile app for the businesses we work with. If you are a home-services contractor with a Local Sight account, this section explains what the app stores and why. If you are a homeowner who called, texted or filled in a form on one of those businesses’ websites, the part headed “Records about your customers” is the one that applies to you.

The app is not for the general public. We create each account ourselves when a business signs up with us. There is no sign-up screen, no advertising, no analytics or tracking software inside the app, and we do not sell, rent or trade any of the information below.

Your account

To sign you in, we keep your name, your email address, an account identifier, and your password in a protected form that we cannot read back. Sign-in records include the date, the kind of phone or device used, and its network address, which is how we keep an account from being used by someone else. When you first sign in, the app also notes the time zone your phone is set to, so that your calls and projects are filed under the right local day.

What you publish

When you publish a project in the app, you choose photos from your phone and may add a title and a description. The app asks for permission to use your camera and your photo library for this purpose only. The photos are uploaded to our servers just long enough to be delivered to your website; once your website has them, we delete our copy and keep only a link to the copy on your site. The title, description and the record of where each project was posted stay in your account so the app can show you your work.

Everything you publish goes where you tell it to: your own website, your Google Business Profile and your Facebook page. We post to Google using access you granted our business account when you joined us. We post to Facebook only after you connect your Page yourself inside the app, and the permission Facebook gives us for that is stored in encrypted form on our servers, never on your phone. You can stop publishing to any destination at any time by asking us, and we delete that permission when you leave.

If you use the “clean up” button on a title or description, the text you typed is sent to Anthropic, an AI provider, which returns a tidied version for you to accept or reject. Nothing is published unless you keep the result, and only the words you typed are sent.

Records about your customers

The app shows you what your marketing produces. To do that, we store records that come from your tracking number and your website:

  • Calls and texts to your tracking number. For each one: the caller’s number, the date and time, how long a call lasted, and whether a text was delivered. We do not record calls and we do not store the content of text messages. Texts are forwarded to your email by our phone provider, and that email is the only copy we keep in the normal course of things. If a text cannot be delivered to you, a copy is sent to our support inbox so the enquiry is not lost.
  • Website form submissions. When someone fills in a form on your website, we receive the same thing you do: their name, email, phone number and message, and the page it came from. This is so the app can show you your enquiries alongside your calls.
  • Google reviews. The reviewer’s name, star rating and the text of each review on your Google Business Profile, so the app can match what Google shows.
  • Numbers you mark as spam. If you mark a caller as spam in the app, we remember that number for your account only, so it is counted separately.

These records belong to your business and are visible only to the people signed in to your account and to Local Sight staff who support it. We also keep daily totals from your Google Business Profile and your website analytics, such as views and visits, which contain no personal details.

Call and text records are deleted automatically after 20 months, and form submissions after 18 months. Reviews stay as long as they stay on Google; when a review is removed there, it is marked as removed here.

Who holds this information

The app itself never talks to Google, Facebook, WordPress or our phone provider directly. It talks only to our own servers, and every key and password for those services stays there, so none of them is ever on your phone. The companies that process data for the app are:

  • Supabase, which hosts our database, sign-in service and file storage.
  • Twilio, which runs your tracking number: forwarding calls to you, relaying texts to your email, and keeping the call and text history we read.
  • SendGrid, which sends the emails the app sends: password-reset codes, password-changed confirmations, and relayed texts.
  • Anthropic, which cleans up titles and descriptions when you ask it to.
  • Expo, whose servers the app contacts to check for updates to itself.

Each acts on our instructions and uses the information only to provide its service. Your own website, Google Business Profile and Facebook page are yours, and what you publish there is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not this one.

Your choices and how to delete your account

You can see every project, call, text, enquiry and review the app holds for you by opening it. You can change your password at any time from Settings.

To close your account, email jesse@localsight.net from the address on the account. We will confirm who you are, remove our access to publish on your behalf, close the login, and delete your account’s information from our systems, except where we must keep a record for business, tax or legal reasons. What you have already published on your own website, Google Business Profile and Facebook page is yours and stays where it is unless you remove it there. If you believe one of our customers’ apps holds a record about you and you want it removed, email the same address and tell us which business you contacted; we will deal with it.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiry, provide estimates and perform services, schedule and confirm appointments, send service-related updates and follow-up, answer your questions and provide support, keep records of our work, improve our website and our services, and comply with our legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We share information only with the service providers who help us operate our business — such as our website host, our customer messaging and scheduling platform, our phone service provider, and our analytics providers — and only so that they can perform those services on our behalf. These providers are permitted to use your information solely for that purpose and for no other.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our business, or others.

Your choices

You can decline to provide information, though this may limit our ability to serve you. You can stop text messages by replying STOP, unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message we send, and control cookies through your browser settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, or to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services, maintain our business and tax records, and comply with our legal obligations. If you opt out of text messages, we keep a record of that opt-out so that we can continue to honor it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to websites we do not operate or control. This policy does not apply to those websites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of our website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
